County Stormwater Lines Require the Closing of Farragut Rd. Near Country Club Rd. Intersection

October 23rd 2025

Spartanburg Water is lowering a 6-inch water line on Farragut Road near Country Club Road in order to provide clearance for a large Spartanburg County stormwater project. The Spartanburg Water project will necessitate the closing of the Farragut Road access to Country Club Road. Residents living in the area will be affected by a temporary water outage.  Customers who will be affected were notified in advance of the temporary water outage. The remainder of the work is expected to be completed the week of October 26, weather permitting. Residents will be able to access Farragut Road by way of Edisto Drive.

Our crews have been briefed on attention to detail for the area and there will be checks throughout the process. Spartanburg Water personnel safety and public safety in the area of work are our main priorities. Once Spartanburg Water has completed the work at the Farragut intersection, the work will continue through the Country Club/ Edisto Drive intersection.
